ha! This was the topic du jour on the "jeff and Jer Showgram" morning radio program on 94.1FM in San Diego this morning.
Jeff and Jer say it's just guys' way of saying "Hey, you're cute!" and all they really want is a smile back, which (according to them) says "thank you."
I dunno ... I'm on the fence. Depends on the catcall. Some are cute and complimentary, others rude and innappropriate. i've been known to either smile or just ignore and play "deaf".
